If the pin on your wagon (the part responsible for the brake) no longer properly extends from the axle, you can proceed as follows:
Operate the brake multiple times – sometimes the mechanism loosens simply by moving it back and forth slightly.
Clean the pin and surrounding area – wipe the area around the axle with a dry cloth to remove dust or small dirt particles.
Apply silicone spray – spray some silicone spray directly onto the movable pin and into the opening of the axle. Please do not use oil or WD-40, as these can attract dust.
Operate the mechanism several times – press or pull the brake lever a few times so that the silicone distributes evenly.
Function test – the pin should now move smoothly again and engage and disengage cleanly.
If the pin still remains stiff afterward, it may help to clean the area more thoroughly again or (with older models) slightly remove the axle and check if dirt or rust has accumulated there.
